Privacy Policy

Readme (the “app”) is an offline viewer for reading text files. The developer treats your personal information with care and complies with the applicable laws.
1. Personal information the developer collects directly
None. The app has no sign-up, no login, and no developer-operated server, and it does not send your name, email address, phone number, or similar details to the developer.
2. Information stored on your device
- Documents you import yourself
- Recently opened files, reading positions, bookmarks, and page caches
- Viewer settings such as typeface, text size, and theme
This information is stored on your device by default and is removed when you delete the app. If you choose to turn on iCloud sync, the supported data may be synced through your own iCloud storage.
3. Information third-party SDKs may process

Each service processes this information under its own privacy policy, and the developer receives it only as aggregate statistics that cannot identify an individual. For details, see the Google Privacy Policy, the Unity Privacy Policy, and the Firebase privacy information.
Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom are shown a consent screen the first time the app launches, where consent for the advertising partners above can be given or changed.
4. Tracking choices
You can change the app’s tracking permission at any time in iOS under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. The app’s document reading features remain available whether or not you allow tracking.
5. In-app purchases
Purchases such as removing ads, and restoring them, are handled through the Apple App Store. The developer does not collect payment details such as card numbers.
6. Retention, deletion, and overseas processing
Because the developer collects no personal information directly, there is no separate retention or deletion procedure. Information processed by third-party SDKs may be processed in the countries where the servers of Google LLC and Unity Technologies are located, and its retention period follows each service’s own policy.
7. Your rights
- Delete files, bookmarks, and recent history within the app
- Delete on-device data by deleting the app
- Change the tracking permission in iOS Settings
- Stop seeing ads by purchasing ad removal
8. Children’s privacy
The app is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
